1)  A maximum of 5,000 ducks will be entered in the race.

2)  Ducks will be launched into the Lamoille River.

3)  The race will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011, at 9:00 AM in Hardwick, Vermont.

4)  All ducks are provided by and remain property of the Heart of Vermont Chamber of Commerce.

5)  Once all ducks are launched, they are on their own.  No attempt to free or interfere with any duck is permitted unless deemed necessary by the Presenter.

6)  A number will be on each duck.  Each adoption certificate will be assigned a duck number(s).

7)  The winners of prizes will be matched to the number assigned to them through the adoption certificate.  Identification must be provided by the winner, and the claimant must be 18 years of age.  A list of prizes may be obtained by sending a written request and self-addressed stamped envelope to the Heart Of  Vermont Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 111, Hardwick, VT  05843.

8)  Winners will be announced after the race.  Winners do not need to be present to win.

9)  The "Million Dollar Duck" will be the duck to finish 11th in the race.  If the number of the 11th duck to finish matches the preselected number, the winner will receive $1,000,000 paid out over 25 years.  Verification will be handled by  Odds On Promotions, thru an automated phone system.  This will occur after the race.

10)  Any taxes are the responsibility of the winner.

11)  By entering, entrants release the Heart of Vermont Chamber of Commerce and its officers, staff, directors and other related entities from any and all liability with respect to prizes, and consents to the use of their names and likenesses without additional compensation.

12)  Chances of winning depend on the total number of qualified entrants.
